Day 1

Arrival in Ashgabat

• Departure for Ashgabat.
• Arrival. Entry visa at the airport, customs formalities.
• Meeting with the guide holding a LATIF sign. Transfer to the hotel, check-in.

Overnight: Hotel in Ashgabat

Day 2

Ashgabat — night train

• Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out.
• 09:00 — start of the sightseeing tour: the Monument of Independence, the Arch of Neutrality and more.
• Visit to the Russian Bazaar.
• Visit to the Carpet Museum or the History Museum, depending on the day of the week.
• Transfer to the railway station. 17:40 — train departure for Turkmenbashi.

Overnight: Train

Day 3

Yangykala

• 08:05 — arrival in Turkmenbashi.
• Departure for the Yangykala canyons — the Fiery Fortresses.
• Visit to Kemal-Ata.
• Return to Turkmenbashi, hotel accommodation.

Day 4

Turkmenbashi — night train

• Breakfast. City tour.
• Visit to the Church of the Holy Archangel Michael, a gift from the Astrakhan Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. In 1895 it was moved to Krasnovodsk by Russian soldiers from the flooded Uzun-Ada peninsula.
• Visit to the fish market.
• Transfer to the railway station. 14:50 — train departure for Ashgabat.

Day 5

Horse farm and Anau

• 05:35 — arrival in Ashgabat.
• Excursion to a private horse farm to see the world-famous Akhal-Teke horses. Breakfast at the farm.
• Excursion to Ancient Anau.
• Hotel check-in. Free time.

Overnight: Hotel in Ashgabat

Day 6

Departure

• Breakfast at the hotel. Free time.
• 12:00 — hotel check-out. Transfer to Ashgabat airport. End of the programme.
